The first reconnaissance of the ASSN from Gemai to Dal (22 Dec 1963-14 April 1964) identified c.230 ‘sites’, many multi-component, or indeed multi-period. The subsequent field seasons expanded this total to at least 874, leaving the region in May 1969. To these may be added further sites recovered in concessions assigned to other field teams. To these must also be added the numerous sites of rock art and inscriptions recorded by the Epigraphic Expedition of the German Academy of Sciences which also traversed the region.
Information on sites of different periods will be uploaded as work with the archive proceeds – these may be accessed through different menus in this aection.
